MATURIN, Nov. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (South American Qualifiers) : Venezuela defeated Bolivia by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Thursday night at the Estadio Monumental de Maturín.
J. Martínez scored tripple goals
Venezuela dominated the first half thanks to goals from Kouffati ('3) and J. Martínez ('11). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Venezuelans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (J. Martínez '67, '70 and Otero '75).
The result put the Bolivians 9th in the group with 8 points. Venezuela is bottom with 5 points. In their next game, Bolivia will meet Paraguay at the Estadio Monumental de Maturín on November 15, while Venezuela will face Ecuador.
