World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Argentina beats Colombia 3-0
SAN JUAN, Nov. 15, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (South American Qualifiers) : Argentina defeated Colombia by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday night at the Estadio del Bicentenario in San Juan.
Argentina dominated the first half thanks to goals from Messi ('9) and Pratto ('22). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Argentines further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Ángel Di María with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Argentine fourth in the group with 19 points. Colombia is 6th with 18 points. In their next game, Argentina will meet Chile at the Estadio del Bicentenario on March 23, while Colombia will face Bolivia.
