World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Bolivia beats Argentina 2-0
LA PAZ, Mar. 28, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (South American Qualifiers) : Bolivia defeated Argentina by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday afternoon at the Hernando Siles Stadium in La Paz.
Bolivia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Arce in the 31st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Bolivians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Moreno in the 52nd minute.
The result put the Argentine fourth in the group with 22 points. Bolivia is 8th with 14 points. In their next game, Argentina will meet third-placed Uruguay at the Hernando Siles Stadium on August 31, while Bolivia will face Peru.
