LA PAZ, Sep. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (South American Qualifiers) : Bolivia defeated Chile by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday afternoon at the Hernando Siles Stadium in La Paz.
45 minutes of play and neither the Bolivians nor the Chilians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Arce on penalty in the 59th minute.
The result put the Chilians 5th in the group with 21 points. Bolivia is 9th with 17 points. In their next game, Chile will meet Ecuador at the Hernando Siles Stadium on October 5, while Bolivia will face Brazil.
