QUITO, Oct. 10, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (South American Qualifiers) : Argentina defeated Ecuador by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a World Cup qualifying game (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday night at the Atahualpa Olympic Stadium in Quito.
Lionel Messi scored tripple goals
Ecuador opened the score in the score in the 1st minute thanks to R. Ibarra, before Argentina regained the advantage with Messi ('11, '19). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Argentines further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Messi in the 62nd minute.
