SOFIA, Nov. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Bulgaria defeated Belarus by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia.
All the action happened in the first half, with I. Popov goal in the 10th minute.
The result put the Bulgarians fourth in Group A with 6 points. Belarus is 5th with 2 points. In their next game, Bulgaria will meet second-placed the Netherlands at the Vasil Levski National Stadium on March 25, while Belarus will face Sweden.
