World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Netherlands beats Bulgaria 3-1
AMSTERDAM, Sep. 3, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : The Netherlands defeated Bulgaria by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night.
Pröpper scored dual goals
The Netherlands dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Pröpper in the 7th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Dutchs further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Robben '67 and Pröpper '80).
The result put the Dutch third in Group A with 13 points. Bulgaria is fourth with 12 points. In their next game, the Netherlands will meet Belarus on October 7, while Bulgaria will face France.
