SOFIA, Oct. 7, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : France defeated Bulgaria by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia.
All the action happened in the first half, with French midfielder Blaise Matuidi goal in the 3rd minute.
The result put the French top of Group A with 20 points. Bulgaria is fourth with 12 points. In their last game, France will meet Belarus at the Vasil Levski National Stadium on October 10, while Bulgaria will face Luxembourg.
