World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Bulgaria and Luxembourg eliminated from FIFA World Cup
LUXEMBOURG, Oct. 10, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Luxembourg tied 1-1 with Bulgaria (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup qualifying game on Tuesday night at the Stade Josy Barthel in Luxembourg.
The Luxembourgers started off well by taking the lead thanks to O. Thill in the 3rd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Bulgaria with a saving goal from Bulgarian midfielder Ivaylo Chochev in the 68th minute.
