AVEIRO, Oct. 7, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Portugal defeated Andorra by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Aveiro Municipal Stadium.
Cristiano Ronaldo served up another goal feast
Portugal dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ronaldo ('2, '4) and Cancelo ('44). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Portugueses further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Ronaldo '47, '68 and A. Silva '86).
The result put the Portuguese third in Group B with 3 points. Andorra is bottom with no points. In their next game, Portugal will meet second-placed the Faroe islands at the Aveiro Municipal Stadium on October 10, while Andorra will face Switzerland.
