TóRSHAVN, Sep. 3, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : The Faroe islands defeated Andorra by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at the Torsvollur Stadium in Tórshavn.
All the action happened in the first half, with Rólantsson goal in the 32nd minute.
The result put the Faroese fourth in Group B with 8 points. Andorra is 5th with 4 points. In their next game, the Faroe islands will meet Latvia at the Torsvollur Stadium on October 7, while Andorra will face Portugal.
