ANDORRA LA VELLA, Oct. 7, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Portugal defeated Andorra by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Estadi Nacional d'Andorra.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Ronaldo ('63) and A. Silva ('86).
The result put the Portuguese second in Group B with 24 points. Andorra is bottom with 4 points. In their last game, Portugal will meet group leaders Switzerland at the Estadi Nacional d'Andorra on October 10, while Andorra will face Latvia.
