SERRAVALLE, Sep. 4, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Azerbaijan defeated San Marino by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle.
All the action happened in the first half, with Qurbanov goal in the 45th minute.
The result put the Azerbaijani top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Azerbaijan will meet Norway at the San Marino Stadium on October 8, while San Marino will face Northern Ireland.
