World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Norway beats San Marino 4-1
OSLO, Oct. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Norway defeated San Marino by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.
Norway dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by D. Simoncini in the 12th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Norvegians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Diomandé '77, Samuelsen '82 and King '83).
The result put the Norvegians fourth in Group C with 3 points. San Marino is bottom with no points. In their next game, Norway will meet Czech republic at the Ullevaal Stadion on November 11, while San Marino will face Germany.
