World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Czech republic defeats Norway 2-1
PRAGUE, Nov. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Czech republic defeated Norway by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Eden Arena in Prague.
Czech republic dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Krmenčík in the 11th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Czechs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Zmrhal in the 47th minute.
The result put the Czech fourth in Group C with 5 points. Norway is 5th with 3 points. In their next game, Czech republic will meet San Marino at the Eden Arena on March 26, while Norway will face Northern Ireland.
