BELFAST, Mar. 26, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Northern Ireland defeated Norway by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at Windsor Park in Belfast.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Jamie Ward ('2) and Washington ('33).
The result put the Irish second in Group C with 10 points. Norway is 5th with 3 points. In their next game, Northern Ireland will meet Azerbaijan at Windsor Park on June 10, while Norway will face Czech republic.
