World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Czech republic beats San Marino 6-0
SERRAVALLE, Mar. 26, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Czech republic defeated San Marino by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 5-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle.
Barák and Vladimír Darida scored dual goals
Czech republic dominated the first half thanks to goals from Barák ('17, '24), Darida ('19), Theodor Gebre Selassie ('26) and Krmenčík ('43). Leading 5-0 at the break, the Czechs further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Darida on penalty in the 77th minute.
The result put the Czech second in Group C with 8 points. San Marino is bottom with no points. In their next game, Czech republic will meet Norway at the San Marino Stadium on June 10, while San Marino will face Germany.
