World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Norway beats San Marino 8-0
SERRAVALLE, Oct. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Norway defeated San Marino by a big score of 8-0 (halftime: 4-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle.
Elyounoussi scored tripple goals
Norway dominated the first half thanks to goals from Henriksen ('8), King ('14 on penalty, '17) and Elyounoussi ('39). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Norvegians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Elyounoussi '48, '68, Selnæs '58 and Linnes '86).
The result put the Norvegians fourth in Group C with 10 points. San Marino is bottom with no points. In their last game, Norway will meet second-placed Northern Ireland at the San Marino Stadium on October 8, while San Marino will face Czech republic.
