CARDIFF, Sep. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Wales defeated Moldova by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Monday night at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Gareth Bale scored dual goals
Wales dominated the first half thanks to goals from Vokes ('38) and Allen ('44). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Welshs further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Bale '51, '90/penalty).
The result put the Welsh top of Group D with 3 points. In their next game, Wales will meet second-placed Austria at the Cardiff City Stadium on October 6, while Moldova will face Serbia.
