TBILISI, Sep. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Georgia tied 1-1 with Ireland (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Qazaishvili ('34) for Georgia, Duffy ('4) for Ireland and none in the second.
The result put the Irish second in Group D with 13 points. Georgia is 5th with 4 points. In their next game, Ireland will meet group leaders Serbia at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena on September 5, while Georgia will face Austria.
