VIENNA, Sep. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Austria tied 1-1 with Georgia (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna.
One goal for both sides in the first half, Schaub ('43) for Austria, Gvilia ('8) for Georgia and none in the second.
The result put the Austrians fourth in Group D with 9 points. Georgia is 5th with 5 points. In their next game, Austria will meet group leaders Serbia at the Ernst Happel Stadium on October 6, while Georgia will face Wales.
