CHISINAU, Sep. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Wales defeated Moldova by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Robson-Kanu ('80) and Ramsey ('90).
The result put the Welsh second in Group D with 14 points. Moldova is bottom with 2 points. In their next game, Wales will meet Georgia at the Zimbru Stadium on October 6, while Moldova will face Ireland.
