World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Montenegro beats Kazakhstan 5-0
PODGORICA, Oct. 8, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Montenegro defeated Kazakhstan by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Podgorica City Stadium.
Montenegro dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Tomašević in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Montenegrins further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Vukčević '59, Jovetić '64, Bećiraj '73 and Savić '78).
The result put the Montenegrins top of Group E with 4 points. Kazakhstan is 5th with one point. In their next game, Montenegro will meet third-placed Denmark at the Podgorica City Stadium on October 11, while Kazakhstan will face Romania.
