WARSAW, Oct. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Poland defeated Armenia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.
Armenia made the Poles doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Mkoyan ('48 own) and Lewandowski ('90).
The result put the Pole second in Group E with 7 points. Armenia is bottom with no points. In their next game, Poland will meet third-placed Romania at the Stadion Narodowy on November 11, while Armenia will face Montenegro.
