World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Denmark beats Kazakhstan 4-1
COPENHAGEN, Nov. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Denmark defeated Kazakhstan by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen.
Christian Eriksen scored dual goals
Denmark dominated the first half thanks to goals from Cornelius ('15) and Eriksen ('36 on penalty). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Danes further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ankersen '78 and Eriksen '90).
The result put the Dane third in Group E with 6 points. Kazakhstan is bottom with 2 points. In their next game, Denmark will meet Romania at the Parken Stadium on March 26, while Kazakhstan will face Armenia.
