World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Montenegro beats Armenia 4-1
PODGORICA, Jun. 10, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Montenegro defeated Armenia by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Podgorica City Stadium.
Stevan Jovetić scored tripple goals
Montenegro dominated the first half thanks to goals from Bećiraj ('2) and Jovetić ('28). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Montenegrins further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Jovetić '54, '82).
The result put the Montenegrins second in Group E with 10 points. Armenia is 5th with 6 points. In their next game, Montenegro will meet Kazakhstan at the Podgorica City Stadium on September 1, while Armenia will face Romania.
