World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Montenegro defeats Kazakhstan 3-0
ASTANA, Sep. 1, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Montenegro defeated Kazakhstan by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Astana Arena.
Montenegro dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Vešović in the 31st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Montenegrins further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Bećiraj '53 and Simić '63).
The result put the Montenegrins second in Group E with 13 points. Kazakhstan is bottom with 2 points. In their next game, Montenegro will meet Romania at the Astana Arena on September 4, while Kazakhstan will face Poland.
