World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Denmark defeats Armenia 4-1
YEREVAN, Sep. 4, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Denmark defeated Armenia by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Monday night at the Republican Stadium in Yerevan.
Delaney scored tripple goals
Armenia opened the score in the score in the 6th minute thanks to Koryan, before Denmark regained the advantage with Delaney ('16) and Eriksen ('29). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Danes further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Delaney '81, '90).
The result put the Dane top of Group E with 16 points. Armenia is 5th with 6 points. In their next game, Denmark will meet third-placed Montenegro at the Republican Stadium on October 5, while Armenia will face Poland.
