World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Poland beats Kazakhstan 3-0
WARSAW, Sep. 4, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Poland defeated Kazakhstan by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Monday night at the Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.
Poland dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Milik in the 11th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Poles further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Glik '74 and Lewandowski '86/penalty).
The result put the Pole top of Group E with 19 points. Kazakhstan is bottom with 2 points. In their next game, Poland will meet Armenia at the Stadion Narodowy on October 5, while Kazakhstan will face Romania.
