LJUBLJANA, Oct. 8, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Slovenia defeated Slovakia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Stozice Stadium in Ljubljana.
Slovakia made the Slovenians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Kronaveter in the 74th minute.
The result put the Slovenians third in Group F with 4 points. Slovakia is 5th with no points. In their next game, Slovenia will meet group leaders England at the Stozice Stadium on October 11, while Slovakia will face Scotland.
