GLASGOW, Mar. 26, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Scotland defeated Slovenia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
Slovenia made the Scots doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by C. Martin with just 2 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Slovenians third in Group F with 8 points. Scotland is fourth with 7 points. In their next game, Slovenia will meet Malta at Hampden Park on June 10, while Scotland will face England.
