World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Scotland defeats Lithuania 3-0
VILNIUS, Sep. 1, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Scotland defeated Lithuania by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the LFF Stadium in Vilnius.
Scotland dominated the first half thanks to goals from Armstrong ('25) and Robertson ('30). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Scots further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by McArthur in the 72nd minute.
The result put the Scot third in Group F with 11 points. Lithuania is 5th with 5 points. In their next game, Scotland will meet Malta at the LFF Stadium on September 4, while Lithuania will face Slovenia.
