World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : England defeats Slovakia 2-1
LONDON, Sep. 4, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : England defeated Slovakia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Monday night at Wembley Stadium.
Lobotka opened the score in the 3rd minute, before seeing England catch up in the 37th minute thanks to Eric Dier. 1-1 at half time. The Englishs eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Rashford in the 59th minute.
The result put the English top of Group F with 20 points. Slovakia is second with 15 points. In their next game, England will meet third-placed Slovenia at Wembley Stadium on October 5, while Slovakia will face Scotland.
