LONDON, Oct. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : England defeated Slovenia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at Wembley Stadium.
45 minutes of play and neither the Englishs nor the Slovenians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by English forward Harry Kane in stoppage time.
The result put the English top of Group F with 23 points. Slovenia is fourth with 14 points. In their last game, England will meet Lithuania at Wembley Stadium on October 8, while Slovenia will face Scotland.
