World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Scotland beats Slovakia 1-0
GLASGOW, Oct. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Scotland defeated Slovakia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
Slovakia made the Scots doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Slovak defender Martin Škrteľ into his own net with one minute left in regular time.
The result put the Scot second in Group F with 17 points. Slovakia is third with 15 points. In their last game, Scotland will meet Slovenia at Hampden Park on October 8, while Slovakia will face Malta.
