TRNAVA, Oct. 8, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Slovakia defeated Malta by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup qualifying game on Sunday night at the Anton Malatinsky Stadium in Trnava.
Adam Nemec scored dual goals
Slovakia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Adam Nemec in the 33rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Slovaks further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Nemec '62 and Duda '69).
