World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Spain beats Liechtenstein 8-0
LEóN, Sep. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Spain defeated Liechtenstein by a big score of 8-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Monday night at the Estadio Reino de León.
Diego Costa,David Silva and Álvaro Morata scored dual goals
Spain dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Diego Costa in the 10th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Spaniards further widened their lead in the second period by scoring many times (Roberto '55, Silva '59, '90, Vitolo '60, Costa '66 and Morata '82, '83).
The result put the Spaniard top of Group G with 3 points. In their next game, Spain will meet second-placed Italy at the Estadio Reino de León on October 6, while Liechtenstein will face Albania.
