SHKODëR, Oct. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Spain defeated Albania by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at the Loro Boriçi Stadium in Shkodër.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Costa ('55) and Nolito ('63).
The result put the Spaniard top of Group G with 7 points. Albania is third with 6 points. In their next game, Spain will meet Macedonia at the Loro Boriçi Stadium on November 12, while Albania will face Israel.
