World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Macedonia beats Liechtenstein 3-0

VADUZ, Mar. 24, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Macedonia defeated Liechtenstein by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Rheinpark Stadion in Vaduz.

Nestorovski scored dual goals

Macedonia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Nikolov in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Macedonians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Nestorovski '68, '73).

The result put the Macedonians 5th in Group G with 3 points. Liechtenstein is bottom with no points. In their next game, Macedonia will meet group leaders Spain at the Rheinpark Stadion on June 11, while Liechtenstein will face Italy.
