World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Spain beats Israel 4-1
GIJóN, Mar. 24, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Spain defeated Israel by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the Estadio El Molinón in Gijón.
Spain dominated the first half thanks to goals from Silva ('13) and Vitolo ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Spaniards further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Costa '51 and [[Isco '88).
The result put the Spaniard top of Group G with 13 points. Israel is third with 9 points. In their next game, Spain will meet Macedonia at the Estadio El Molinón on June 11, while Israel will face Albania.
