ELBASAN, Sep. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Albania defeated Liechtenstein by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Elbasan Arena.
45 minutes of play and neither the Albanians nor the Liechtensteiners have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Roshi ('54) and Agolli ('78).
The result put the Albanians third in Group G with 12 points. Liechtenstein is bottom with no points. In their next game, Albania will meet Macedonia at the Elbasan Arena on September 5, while Liechtenstein will face Spain.
