World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Spain beats Liechtenstein 8-0
VADUZ, Sep. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Spain defeated Liechtenstein by a big score of 8-0 (halftime: 4-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Rheinpark Stadion in Vaduz.
Álvaro Morata and Iago Aspas scored dual goals
Spain dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ramos ('3), Morata ('15), [[Isco ('16) and Silva ('39). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Spaniards further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Aspas '51, '63, Morata '54 and Göppel '89/own).
The result put the Spaniard top of Group G with 22 points. Liechtenstein is bottom with no points. In their next game, Spain will meet third-placed Albania at the Rheinpark Stadion on October 6, while Liechtenstein will face Israel.
