SHKODëR, Oct. 9, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Italy defeated Albania by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup qualifying game on Monday night at the Loro Boriçi Stadium in Shkodër.

45 minutes of play and neither the Italians nor the Albanians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Italian midfielder Antonio Candreva in the 73rd minute.

Italy advance to the next round of the ongoing FIFA World Cup. Albania is eliminated.
