FARO, Sep. 6, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Greece defeated Gibraltar by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 4-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night at the Estádio Algarve in Faro.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Kostas Mitroglou ('10), Wiseman ('44 own), Fortounis ('45) and Vasilis Torosidis ('47).
The result put the Greek second in Group H with 3 points. In their next game, Greece will meet Cyprus at the Estádio Algarve on October 7, while Gibraltar will face Estonia.
