BRUSSELS, Oct. 7, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Belgium defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Friday night at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.
Belgium dominated the first half thanks to goals from Spahić ('26 own) and Hazard ('29). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Belgians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Alderweireld '60 and Lukaku '79).
The result put the Belgians top of Group H with 6 points. Bosnia and Herzegovina is third with 3 points. In their next game, Belgium will meet Gibraltar at the King Baudouin Stadium on October 10, while Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Cyprus.
