ZENICA, Oct. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Cyprus by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Monday night at the Bilino Polje in Zenica.
Edin Džeko scored dual goals
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with two goals by Bosnian forward Edin Džeko at '70 and '81.
The result put the Bosnians third in Group H with 6 points. Cyprus is 5th with no points. In their next game, Bosnia and Herzegovina will meet second-placed Greece at the Bilino Polje on November 13, while Cyprus will face Gibraltar.
