World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Greece beats Estonia 2-0
TALLINN, Oct. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Greece defeated Estonia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Monday night at the A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn.
Greece dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Vasilis Torosidis in the 2nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Greeks further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Stafylidis in the 60th minute.
The result put the Greek second in Group H with 9 points. Estonia is fourth with 3 points. In their next game, Greece will meet third-placed Bosnia and Herzegovina at the A. Le Coq Arena on November 13, while Estonia will face Belgium.
