World Cup 2018 Qualifiers : Greece draw 1-1 with Bosnia and Herzegovina
ATHENS, Nov. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Greece tied 1-1 with Bosnia and Herzegovina (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens.
The Bosnians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanić in the 32nd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Greece with a saving goal from Greek defender Giorgos Tzavellas in the 90th minute.
The result put the Greek second in Group H with 10 points. Bosnia and Herzegovina is third with 7 points. In their next game, Greece will meet group leaders Belgium at the Karaiskakis Stadium on March 25, while Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Gibraltar.
