ZENICA, Mar. 25, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Gibraltar by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Bilino Polje in Zenica.
Vedad Ibisevic scored dual goals
Bosnia and Herzegovina dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ibisevic ('4, '43). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Bosnians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Vršajević '52, Višća '56 and Bičakčić '90).
The result put the Bosnians second in Group H with 10 points. Gibraltar is bottom with no points. In their next game, Bosnia and Herzegovina will meet third-placed Greece at the Bilino Polje on June 9, while Gibraltar will face Cyprus.
