TALLINN, Sep. 3, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2018 (European Qualifiers) : Estonia defeated Cyprus by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Sunday night at the A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn.
Cyprus made the Estonians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Käit in stoppage time.
The result put the Cypriot fourth in Group H with 10 points. Estonia is 5th with 8 points. In their next game, Cyprus will meet second-placed Greece at the A. Le Coq Arena on October 7, while Estonia will face Gibraltar.
